Your door plays a big part in safeguarding your home, and when it comes to purchasing a new door with us, safety and security come as standard. An integral part of a door’s security is the frame. The frame is important for many reasons, most importantly, it is where your lock engages when you lift your handle to lock the door. A door lock engages bolts from inside the door to the inside of the frame. When the door is closed and the handle is lifted, the bolts from the lock hook into the frame, and the key can then be used to deadlock your door.
The locks which are provided in every door we sell is a Yale Mantis Composite Door Lock. This is a 3-point locking system, this means that the door will lock in three places, the top, middle and bottom, for full piece of mind.
Our door frames are available in all kinds of shapes and sizes, from a standard sized door frame, to doors with Toplights and side panels, curved doors, and doors with large shaped frames. All frame styles can be viewed in Step 2 of our Door Designer, with 27 different designs, we are confident that we will have what you need. Every door and frame is a bespoke product, and is manufactured to your precise sizes after it has been surveyed by your local fitter.
To create a curved frame, specialist technology is used to mould the materials to the desired shape so it forms them into the exact size to fit your doorway, whilst also maintaining the strength required to keep your door secure.
