Depending on what design of door glass you choose, it may come with a backing glass option. Backing glass allows you to choose how obscure the unit on the inside of your door is going to be, each design has a different level of privacy, so you have full control. Backing glass is the pane which is on the inside of your door, and the outside pane will have a design or be clear, together they make a double-glazed unit. Triple glazed units do not come with backing glass, and some double-glazed designs already have an etched background. We have 18 backing glass designs to choose between, from simple styles to designs which have been seen for years. Obscured backing glass does not cost any extra, and is also available in top lights, side panels and flag windows.

Clear glass allows full visibility and is excellent for letting as much light into your home as possible. There is no obscurity or design with clear glass, it is completely visible from the outside.
